    Novelist from Mahé, whose Mayyazhippuzhayude Theerangalil (On the Banks of the Mayyazhi) is a modern Malayalam classic. His Delhi: A Soliloquy won the JCB Prize for Literature in 2021.

    Short-story writer and essayist known for his wit and irreverence. His story Bhaskara Pattelarum Ente Jeevithavum became Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s film Vidheyan, and he received the Ezhuthachan Puraskaram in 2020.

    Novelist and one of the founding voices of feminist writing in Malayalam. Her novel Aalahayude Penmakkal won the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award.
